Asking questions matters.

Iron sharpens iron.

It’s important to surround yourself with people that will step in to give you a push when you are at your worst and not be around people that want you to fail. The good-hearted entrepreneurs out there want to see others win and will help others succeed because your success doesn’t make them any less successful. Be around the people that inspire you to do better, bring you up when you are down, and the ones that will be honest with you.

Confidence and motivation.

These are two unstoppable forces. Remember, no one’s business journey is the same; stop comparing yourself to others when starting a business. You have to build confidence and resistance against the outside noise, pave your path, and find what drives you each day when you wake up. Your motivation to succeed and continue pushing forward is what stirs your brain to get creative, come up with new ideas, and build something unique.

Ask questions and listen.

Be curious and ask people questions; ask them weird questions. Look for gems they are willing to share with you, put them in your toolbox, and use them. It can be a simple question: what does your workday look like, and how much time do you spend doing X? People love talking about themselves; they will probably get a bit giddy.

It’s essential to be a good listener. You will often learn unexpected things that may change how you're thinking about a situation or solution.

Remember: There are no stupid questions; there are only questions.
